Fleurieu Peninsula Family History Group

Our organisation began in 1996 and incorporated in 1999. We are based in Christies Beach, South Australia, which is a coastal town in the northern part of the Fleurieu Peninsula which is south of Adelaide.

This group aims: to teach others how to research and compile Family History; share information with other people and like organisations; produce a quarterly journal and a supporting website and Facebook group; conduct monthly meetings with guest speakers; manage a resource room for members and visitors; promote support groups to assist with research such as the Aussie Genealogy Group and UK Genealogy Group plus computing support groups and in addition we conduct and involve ourselves in seminars to further help the research activities of our members and the general public.

As we are compiling a Pioneer Register for the resource room we thought that a project to commemorate the Anzacs of the Fleurieu Peninsula pioneer families would enhance our pioneers’ records.
