A 'City of Rockdale' First World War Centenary Commemoration website

The website is designed to centralise all known available data connected with more than 2600 names of enlistees to the First World War (1914-1918) connected (either by birth, residency, family, or local honour roll) with the City of Rockdale NSW Australia (being the suburbs Rockdale, Arncliffe, Bexley, Kingsgrove, Brighton-Le-Sands, Ramsgate, Sandringham, Sans Souci and parts of Carlton and Kogarah).

Along with regimental service number information, the website lists over 700 photos (sourced from the Australian War Memorial, local honour roll portraits, contemporary newspapers or memorial publications) and City of Rockdale WW1 Honour Roll entries; casualty detail (place and date, where applicable) has also been included.

Other links to external data are available, primarily (but not limited to) the AIF Project UNSW/ ADFA (individual service record details), National Archives of Australia (Red Cross files, military awards), and media (local and national contemporary newspaper) entries. In addition, a built-in website request for community input has resulted in numerous memorabilia contributions 'on loan'.
