Gallipoli & Beyond 2015

We are a community organisation who is working with both our local government and RSL clubs to plan a range of awesome activities and events to commemorate the centenary of WW1 and also the landing of Gallipoli in April 2015.

These activities are specifically designed for those who live, work or study within the City of Boroondara Victoria or Federal electorate of Kooyong.... but anyone can come!

We will be needing volunteers to help us conduct the activities such as ushers and guides.

We desperately need a sponsor for our Launch!

We are hoping to achieve the following:

  • To increase the awareness of the significance of WW1 in the community.
  • To remind local residents, businesses people and students on the impact of war and what effects it had on the local community.
  • To create a lasting legacy related to the project and to provide resources for future generations.
  • To foster pride within the City of Boroondara so that the residents are aware how their predecessors made a contribution towards the war effort.
  • To assist in building a strong and engaged community and to increase harmony within the City by inviting all to be involved in one common project together.
